  • Pier One, online order

    I ordered 3 items from Pier One online. I order 1 candle, a small end table and a TV stand/sideboard, of the three only the candle arrived as ordered. The small table arrived damaged and I've been trying for 2 weeks to get satisfaction to no avail. Instead of receiving the larger stand I received a chair, again no help from them.     Customer service was awesome when I first went I to the store. The young woman was very pleasant and helpful. However, When my grandson and I went to pay it wasn't at all that way. It wasn't even busy . There were 3individuals working! Two turned their backs on us and ignored us walking away . The 3rd kept her head down and nodded saying I'll help you over there!   • Pier One stop wasting my time!

    I have always enjoyed shopping at Pier One because of the uniqueness of their inventory. Yes, the prices can be somewhat steep, but if I find something 'different' I consider that part of the price. For 5 or 6 years I have purchased all my wicker patio furniture and cushions at Pier One. I am especially fond of the Calliope cushions because the quality is outstanding and because I like to change colors and styles frequently.     My daughter and I visited your Pier Imports store in Hesperia at the Target Shopping Center, yesterday. One of the salespersons followed us all the time we shopped at your store. We are Hispanics and all we could think of was that we were being profiled. When we go close to the door she said thanks for shopping at Pier 1 Imports. We were not ready to leave and I told her so.   • Poor Customer Service and False Advertising

    I went in to the Royal Oaks store and specifically was looking for chair slip covers as my mother in law had recommended that they had some nice ones. The green geometric patterned chair slipcover caught my eye, and as I looked at the tag it said it was being offered at 49.95. I thought I got a bargain and asked the salesperson if this was correct. When she went to check, she said no it was usually 59.95, but since it was tagged at the price I saw that they would honor it just for the green one and not the other colors.     Recently I had gone to the Cape and on the way home I stopped at one of your stores. I had brought several things and one of them was a broom. When I got back to CT I realized that I didn't have it, so I took my receipt to the Manchester CT location and told them what had happened. First they told me that I had to go back to MASS to get the broom. Then finally they called the store in MASS (what I had suggested at the beginning) and was told that I did leave the broom there.     I am an interior designer and purchase approx. $200,000 worth of furniture through client purchases a year. I know all the various retail accessory and furniture stores in Colorado Springs and what types of inventory they have. I also know the quality of customer service that these stores offer and frankly, Pier One has recently provided poor service several times - specifically, the Powers Blvd. store.     I bought 6 chairs at Pier One two years ago. Three of the chairs broke down in the seat area starting at the very back. Customer service told me at first they whould give me a credit on each chair-- tthen another time said they would give a credit on 3 chairs or possibly 6 replacement chairs--- Then I received a phone call from Don the customer service representative who told me that I should pick up the chairs and that I would receive nothing from the store.     I was very dissapointed w/hampton va. Im in the process of redecorating my home. I went into the store and was look down upon, to me I was not up to their standars of a customer! But thank you!     i was told to go to this site to obtain a $10. coupon off my next $50 purchase. There is nowhere to submit feedback for that or complete a survey of Pier 1 Imports. Iwas also told that if I provided my email address I would receive a 10% discount coupon for another purchase. I received an email with no coupon.     I, too, went shopping at Pier 1, received my receipt and notice that i receive $10 off of $50 purchase. Went online to complete the survey...where's the survey? I noticed in the reviews every single person except one has the same question.     When I enterede the store, plastic wicker stackable outdoor chairs were fearured at $49.95. I noticed that on thwe other side of the display there were green chairs, which was my preference, and they were exactly the same. They were marked $10 higher. When I questioned this, the sales associate asked the manager if the price could be met of the other colrs feature, to which she flatly said no and she could not work magic.     I mailed my first payment on my new Pier 1 credit card account in time to make my payment due date (5 days to get from Colorado to Illinois), but it was not credited to my account until 10 days later. I was charged interest of $15.37 (at 23%) and a $35 late fee. They absolutely insist it was not received until the later date, and refuse to credit my account for any portion of the fees assessed.   • Promotional Interest Rate

    I purchased items through Pier One using their credit card by Chase. I had promotional balances that expired 3/1/2010, 4/1/2010 and 7/1/2010. I paid the balance before the promotional expiration of 3/1/2010 prior to that date; however, they applied my payment to the balance which expired 4/1/2010 resulting in an interest charge of $88.57 from the promotional balance that ended 3/1/2010.     I returned some merch and had a credit of about 50.00. I then bought something else and wanted them to use that credit.     I shopped in the Pier 1 in Victoria today for a few items including beaded boxes as stocking stuffers for my grandchildren. They were 25% off for this week but on leaving the store I realised that I hadn't been given the discount. You could not see the items being purchased on the computer screen so didn't notice at the time.     Well, Pier 1 already said that they won't help us! We bought an Allegro Sofa on June 2008. By January 2009 the fabric looked bad, stretched, loose. In March one of the springs broke while I was sitting on it. I went to the store and promised that the manager will call me. She did not. I went again.     I tried to exchange a gift which was a duplicate of something I already purchased some time ago. The total amount of the gift was $6.83 with tax and all I wanted to do was exchange for something else. According to the salesgirl in the store "policy" was that I had 30 days with gift receipt to return it.     I was shopping in the store in Kalamazoo MI. I spoke with an associate at the store about a lamp I wanted to purchase.
